American Legion Hut

The A&P Commission provided matching funds for a Historic Preservation Restoration Grant that was received for the American Legion Hall. The ongoing project is a collaboration between Main Street Searcy, the City of Searcy and the White County Historical Society. The almost 100-year-old building is on the National Register of Historic Places but has sadly fallen in disrepair over the past decades. We are currently planning phase III of the project that will rehabilitate the unique rock structure that's an important piece of our local heritage. Upon completion, the City will be able to accommodate public meetings/events and private bookings.
